Sarah was born January 5th, 1927, to Charles and Charity Freshour in Warsaw, Indiana. She was the middle child of a family of ten children.
She was married 71 years to Gene Ringgenberg.
She was a member of Spring Creek Brethren Church, a girl’s 4-H leader for many years, and hosted many foreign exchange students through the IFYE program.
Sarah was employed as a supervisor at Blue Bell factory as a manufacturer of blue jeans. There, she was member of the Blue Bell ladies bowling team competing in tournaments as far away as New York. She also took an active part wither husband, Gene in operating a family dairy farm located near Pierceton, Indiana. She even had her own tractor.
After retiring from the farm, Sarah and Gene enjoyed seven years of residency on Chapman Lake. They then moved full time to Florida where they enjoyed a long retirement. After Gene’s death Sarah moved to Zionsville Indian to be near family.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband. Eugene, her son Kerry Ringgenberg and all of her siblings. Surviving is her daughter, Karen (Terry) Strueh of Lafayette, Indiana and daughter in law Vicki Ringgernberg. Grandchildren Dr.Kurt (Lynn) Strueh, Sarah (Scott) Strueh Akin, Pam (Mike) Ringgenberg Ridenour, Stephanie (Mark) Ringgenberg Brunner. Also surviving are 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Sarah will rest in peace in Palmetto, Florida alongside her husband.
