Patricia (Poitras) Salvucci, 70, passed away at home with her husband and sister-in-law at her side after a short illness. Patricia was the daughter of Patrick and Dorothy Poitras. She grew up in Salem, Massachusetts, graduating from St. James High School and then Chandler School for Women in Boston. Patricia moved to New Hampshire with her husband, Gerard “Jerry” Salvucci, where they lived until they retired and moved to Florida in 2013.
Patricia worked 21 years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Department of Education. She also worked for the New Hampshire job Training Council, St George Greek Orthodox Church in Manchester, New Hampshire and the New Hampshire Department of Labor. Patricia volunteered to help coordinate the Bobby Stephen St. Patrick’s Day Bash to help fund the Bobby Stephen’s Fund for Education for the past 20 years. She also served on the Board.
Patricia enjoyed spending time with her friend, traveling with her husband and friend and she was an avid reader.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gerard Salvucci of Ellenton, Florida and her best friend and sister- -law, Ann Marie Maloof of Ellenton, Florida, brother-in-law, William Salvucci of Colorado, sister-in-law, Holly Salvucci of Plymouth, Massachusetts and several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Francis X Cabrini Church in Parrish, Florida on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10:30am.
