

We are saddened to announce the passing of Osvaldo Enriquez on Thursday, June 29. Osvaldo was born on February 18, 1932 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico. A Seffner, Fl resident since 1976, he was a devout Catholic, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great grandfather, and Army and Air Force veteran. His passion for baseball, music, and dancing was only surpassed by his devout love for his family and friends.
Osvaldo is survived by his wife, Carmen Iris, three children, Irene, Ozzie, and Eric, their spouses, Bill, Beth, and Melinda: his grandchildren, Laura (Rob), Kate, Dave, Mia, Ana, Leo, and Eli, and his Great Grandchildren Ava and River.
A Mass will be held for him prior to the funeral at Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon, FL on Friday, July 7th at 1:00 pm.
There will be an open casket viewing on Saturday, July 8 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at Groover Funeral Home, Ellenton, Fl. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow church services from 2:00 to 4:00 at Groover Funeral Home.
Interment will take place at the Sarasota National Cemetery with Military Honors being performed on Monday, July 17th from 12:30 to 1300.
In lieu of flowers, Osvaldo’s family is requesting donations be made to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, a nonprofit that supports Cancer Research and offers support for patients and their families.
