Lottie Craig Watson, Palmetto, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2014. “Lottie” was born in Palmetto, Florida, the daughter of John and Willie Mae Sims Craig. She was a homemaker and a member of Palmetto First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. L. “Bill” Watson in November of 2009; also by sisters, Catherine “Kitty” Tucker, Meda McCarty and Jewell Mathis. Lottie is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (David) Shelton, Palmetto; Grandchildren, Mari Anne, Grant, Stephanie, Daniel and Michael. Great-grandchildren; Jailyn, Aliyah, Maia, Zander and Savanah. Sisters, Lula Mae Watson, Helen Rickman, twin sister, Ollie Rodriquez, Gladys Kilpatrick and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 9th at Palmetto First Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m. Visitation for friends and family will begin at 2:00 p.m. The service will be officiated by Pastors Tony Miller and Herb McMillian, Celebration music by Brad and Melissa Guthrie. Pallbearers will be Michael Shelton, Grant Stewart, Conrad Hernandez, Jailyn Stewart, Carey Watson, Terrance Kilpatrick, Ed Eason and Richard Hunter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Leon Kotecki, Jim Paris, David Winn and Ted Thompson.
