Just watched the new movie it’s been a year my brother although my heart is deeply saddened by your loss every time I think of you my heart and face smile for now rest in peace till I get there!

My friendship with Skipper started in the high school I loved his quick wit and his upbeat personality after high school I didn’t see skip but we reunited several years back and then I got to know The great man that he had become he was a very good friend and I enjoyed his company immensely we were quite like minded and his political views were right on time with mine I’ll miss our front porch chats my deepest sympathy to you Cindy and everyone that loved him like we do I miss you brother

I've known Skipper since I was 7.  He went to high school with my older brother and sister.  He also became good friends with my Dad and Mom. Skipper taught me how to play "drownd" marco/polo.  Friends like Skipper are what makes Palmetto feel like home.  I will really miss him.

Skipper was a special childhood friend. Always friendly and funny. He will be missed. I’m thankful we spent an evening with he and Cindy a short time ago. Love you Skipper 💕🙏🏻😍

Here’s an example of Skipper and Cindy’s compassion.  11 years ago when my daughter, Tikla was 13 I wanted to take her on my sailboat from Everglades City to the Keys.
I was worried that if anything should happen to me on that remote stretch that Tikla would be at risk. sailing to safety. 
So I asked Skipper if he’d join us.  He was surprised when I said that we were sailing in just a few days.  But he dropped everything he was doing and Cindy drove us down to Everglades City.  
It took 3 days for the sail since we had no engine and often were becalmed.  We had close times with lightening and lots of heat and mosquitoes but Skipper always kept a great attitude.
Cindy met us down in the Keys where we had a day sail and some snorkeling.  
I still can’t believe that they did all this on short notice.
It’s the finest example of a loving friendship I know.

We moved to Palmetto when I was in 8th grade, and Skipper was a neighbor a couple blocks away.  He was first my older brother, Bart's, friend.  Skipper was kind enough to give us rides to school my first year of high school.  Our family had moved a lot growing while we were growing up, so it was nice when someone quickly and easily extended their friendship.  A very touching memory I have of him was in my Junior year (his Senior year).  I was asked to find an escort for a Junior Civitan Club speech.  In thinking of whom I could ask, I thought of Skipper.  He was usually being very funny and cracking people up, but he took it seriously.  He was very kind and thoughtful and this helped a lot.  In speaking with my brother, Bart, this morning he mentioned this too.  When you needed Skipper he was there, being kind and thoughtful.  Thank you, Skipper, for your friendship.  My love to Cindy, Gary, Brenda, and the whole Reeder family.  In Love, there is no time and space; just Love.     

Dear Cindy and the Reeder family,
    We're stunned and deeply saddened to hear of Skipper's passing.  We feel so fortunate to have spent time at Cindy and Skip's Feb. bonfire re-purposing  thousands of X-Mas Trees.   (Who else thinks of this?)  Then he "persuades" us to have dinner with them on the 29th because he's a "Leap Baby"!  (Whether born on 27th or 29th, it was genius as usual.)  These recent memories coupled with those of a lifetime, will forever keep him in our hearts.

My fondest memory. My mother was Skips mothers sister. Pat and her sons called my mother Sister. When  I was 16, Skipper was 2, we were at my grandmothers house and he begged me to go out and play. When I did not, he ran to my mother and said, Sister, Make Sandra Come out and play with me. The photo is fond memories at our cousin reunion.
 I love you Skip. Cindy, I am so sorry for your loss and condolences to all of the family.

My Uncle Skipper was one of a kind.  He could be counted on to make you smile.  He sure did bless our family with his love for Cindy. She brought out the best in him and we are so grateful for the love and care she demonstrated to Skipper. One of my fondest memories of my Uncle Skipper is the joy and excitement he had to show my kiddos some of his “toys”. He spent hours showing them the horses and chicken and the remote controlled boat. He also came to the rescue during a scary medical moment with one of my boys and had just the right remedy to offer. He was caring and kind.  He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. 

Skip and I worked together at Smiths Dept store he always kept me laughing  we also fished and hunted together so sorry for this loss  

Will miss you my friend. Great memories of grow up, playing football and being friends. You we’re strong and courageous. Love you Cindy. I’m sorry for your lose. 

Saddened to hear of Skipper passing. My heart goes out to Cindy, Bonnie and the rest of his family. He always was a great, funny, gracious guy.

I was so saddened to hear of Skipper's passing. My heart felt condolences to Cindy, Bonnie and all of the Reeder family. This is yet another gentle reminder how precious our time is here on Earth and that each day is a gift. Remembering you always as a funny and kind hearted classmate. Although we went our separate ways after school, you left an impression on all of us.  

I am so saddened to hear of the loss Skipper.    He was a treasure and will always be remembered for his incredible sense of humor and ability to make people laugh.  I pray for all of Skipper's family and friends that your memories will carry you through this most difficult time.

My heart breaks for Cindy and the family.  Got to spend some time with him this past year at trivia.  He sure knew his history.  Miss now...see you later.  🤗❤️🙏
