Joan K. Hurley

Joan Katherine Hurley, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in her home in Bradenton, Florida on March 25, 2025 at the age of 82.

She was so in love and devoted to her spouse of 59 years, Jerry Clifford Hurley. She was an accountant and bookkeeper by trade for Hurley Pipe and Site until retirement. She was known to have strong faith in God and always put God first in her daily life. Joan loved all animals but was partial to horses and dogs. She was an avid quilter and had mastered the art of creating wool rugs.

Joan was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Daniel Boone Burns and Roberta Ruth Burns on December 17, 1942.

She is survived by her spouse, Jerry Clifford Hurley, her children, Deron Patrick Hurley (Shirley Deanna Hurley) and Sharon Lynn Rypel (Daniel Joseph Rypel), and her grandchildren Trenton Connor Hurley and Daniel Logan Rypel.

A visitation for Joan will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Ave East, Ellenton, FL 34222, followed by a funeral service at 7:30 PM. Graveside services will be held at, Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 686 Mt Moriah Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45245, at a later date.
