James passed away at Bradenton Hospice House just 10 days before his 94th birthday. Jim was born in Verona, New Jersey and lived in Wayne, NJ until he retired at 62 and moved to Florida. He was an exceptional handyman and even built his first house by himself after he was honorably discharged from the service. He fought in the Korean War, was wounded and awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of the local Lions Club for many years, was president and earned many awards for his contributions. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was very active in the activities in Veranda Springs for a very long time and loved to travel and go on cruises.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Sandra Jean, his daughter, Dr. Sheree Jean Aston (Dagmar), stepdaughters; Robin Emanual (John), Jean Scholander (John) and Tammy Jo Maradona, stepson Bobby Marek, nephews; James Camb (Mary Jane) and Thomas Camb (Diane), grand nephews and nieces.
He will be honored with a military service, in the chapel, at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton on Monday, April 3rd at 2 PM.
