Georgia A Shaffer

Our Beloved mother Georgia A. Shaffer sadly passed away on October 23rd, 2024 at the age of 88. A long time resident of Maryland she & her husband Ernie retires several years ago to enjoy the rest of their days in Sunny Florida. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her most. She loved her family and friends with all of her heart. She was truly a caregiver with a generous spirit who was always there to help those in need and nurture all those around her. She prided herself on educating herself on patient rights so she could help others by being a patient advocate. She also loved fun and games which led to her being deeply involved in helping plan and execute activities and crafts at Aspire @ Palma Sola Bay for all of her fellow residents which led to her being elected President of Resident relations. Georgia had been happily married to William “Ernie” Shaffer until his passing 12 years ago. She is survived by her sons; Randy Painter, Bill Shaffer, Donnie Shaffer, their wives and families, as well as her brother and his wife, Walter & Barbara Jennings, and their children Her nephews & niece, Bruce, Tom, Mark, & Anne.

Visitation will be from 1pm – 2pm at Groover Funeral Home & Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Ave. E. Ellenton, Fl 34222 to be followed by Funeral Service and Burial.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. She will forever be in our hearts
