Cyrus William Manning

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cyrus William Manning also lovingly known as “Bill” or “Papa”. Bill passed away on September 23,2023, at the age of 74, in the comfort of his home in Myakka City, FL. He was born in Wheelersburg, Ohio but lived most of his life in Manatee County, FL. Bill was a cattleman thru and thru and was always with his cows and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cyrus and Betty Manning. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Alicia Bryan Manning, his two children, Michael (Rachel) Manning and Melissa (Eric) Graham, his many grandchildren; Emily and Matthew Manning, Mikayla, Sophie, Kolya, Yuri, Conner, Viktor, Pavels, Nastya, Vitalii(Tamale), Tanya, Liza, Vanya(George), Marina, Dima, Sasha, Alex, Sergei, Andre, Vika, Brandon, and Deanna; four brothers Ronald Manning, Ray Manning, Gary (Cathy) Manning, and Bobby (Lorrie) Manning, three sisters Linda (Don) Ness, Sharon (Gary) Parks , Debbie (Billy) Burrows , and many many wonderful nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

A visitation will be held at Groover’s Funeral Home on Saturday, October 7th from 10:00am-12pm followed by a short graveside service at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Avenue East, Ellenton, FL.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Tidewell Hospice of Manatee County.

A Gathering to honor Bill’s life will be held after burial at Billy’s home in Myakka City. 35851 Singletary Road, Myakka City, FL. 34251.
