Kathy J. Shuey

Kathy was born on April 26, 1951, in Ellensburg, WA. She grew up and attended schools in Ellensburg, graduating from Ellensburg High School in 1969. She attended Yakima Business College. She married Duane Michael Sims in Ellensburg, WA. They later divorced.

Kathy worked for Central Washington University, Seattle Community College, 1st National Bank in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Time Warner in Vancouver, WA.

She enjoyed crystal collecting, coke-cola collecting, and Hot Wheel cars collecting. She loved animals.

She is survived by her mother, Grace Shuey; son, Dustin Sims; sister, Tammy Shuey; and niece, Grace Laux-Shuey, all of Ellensburg.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Roslyn Memorial Gardens. Steward & Williams Tribute Center is in care of arrangements. Condolences for the family can be left at www.steward-williams.com.
