William "Sarge" Myers, age 90, of West Friendship, Maryland passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Ridge Overlook Assisted Living in Westminster, Maryland.
He is survived by his wife Julia Myers, daughter Nancy Reed, step-son Douglas Murphy Sr. (wife Renee), granddaughter Jean Reed, step grandson Douglas Murphy Jr. (wife Amber), step granddaughter Ashley Hiffater (husband Dave), and step great grandchildren.
After graduating from Southern High School in 1953, Sarge served in the United States Marines from 1953 to 1956. Following his military service, he dedicated 35 years of his career to Bell Atlantic (Verizon) before retiring in 1992. Sarge was also a proud life member of Annapolis Elk Lodge #620 and he also held a membership in the American Legion.
Family will receive friends at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD 21075 on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00PM, where Funeral Services will follow at 12:00PM; Pastor Quinten Merson will officiate; Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
