Thomas Edison Watts, age 89, passed away peacefully in Westminster, Maryland on December 14th, 2021. Tom was born December 29, 1931 in Savage, Maryland to parents Samuel H. Watts and Elsie (Gosnell) Watts, and he loved to share wonderful stories of growing up in Savage as the youngest son in his large family. He is survived by his eldest sister, Regina (Watts) Smith, age 103, who cherished her little brother. He is also survived by his daughter, Tracy Watts, and granddaughter, Raven Watts, along with many nieces and nephews who loved their “Uncle Tommy.” He is predeceased by his loving wife, Marie, and siblings, Howard, George, Donald, Samuel, Charles, Marybelle, and Faye.
Thomas was a proud Navy veteran who served his country admirably during the Korean War on the USS Jarvis. After retiring as a steelworker’s union member, he and family moved from Savage to Sykesville, Maryland where he enjoyed working as a school bus driver for many years. He will be missed by his many friends and family who loved him for his kind and generous spirit.
