

Theodore "Ted" Peter Stamos, age 73 passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025.
Ted is survived by his Loving Wife of 53 years, Jennie Kathleen Stamos; His Beloved Children, Peter T. Stamos (Shannon), Jennie Banzhof (Mark), Anna E. Stamos, and Thomas F. Stamos (Karen); Dear Brother, Phillip Stamos (Cathy); Cherished Grandchildren, Faith Williams, David Banzhof, Michael Banzhof, Matthew Banzhof, Glorianna Stamos, and Theo Stamos; Dear Brother-In-Law, Peter Saia and his wife Patty, who fondly remembers Ted as her "Teddy Boy", Sister-In-Law Connie Saia and Godson, Johnny; and many nieces and nephews.
Ted is predeceased by his parents, Peter Theodore and Sonya Teresa Stamos; Dear Siblings, Tina, Alexis “Cookie”, Diane, Nick, and Anna.
Ted proudly held two remarkable careers during his lifetime. Ted spent 22 years with Montgomery County Public Schools, where he founded and led a plumbing trade program, shaping the futures of countless students. His passion for teaching and mentoring left a lasting impact, and he was deeply respected by both his students and colleagues. Following his time in education, Ted spent 17 years as a plumber with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, where his work ethic and knowledge continued to earn him admiration and respect.
Outside of work, Ted’s heart belonged to his family. He dedicated all of his free time to those he loved. Whether taking his children on camping adventures or cheering them on through their baseball and softball careers, Ted was a constant, supportive presence. To say he was a devoted family man would be an understatement—his family was the center of his world.
Ted’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he so freely gave.
A visitation for Theodore will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at MMP, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home.Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
