Sharon Elizabeth Bowling

On Monday, December 14th, 2015 Sharon Elizabeth Bowling (Nee Russ) 67 of Ferndale, MD beloved wife of George “Moe” Bowling. Loving mother of Tracy and her husband Greg and Robin Bowling. Dear grandmother of Hunter Hartzell and Carrie Hartzell. Caring sister of Joseph “Butch” Russ and his wife Fran, Thomas Russ and his wife Robin, Robert Russ and his wife Donna, and Cathy Baldwin and her Fiance' Dale Croston. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was self employed most of her life, selling Home Interiors and Gifts for over 40 years. Sharon made many lifelong friends from her business. She never met a stranger, everyone that came into her life became a friend. She had a heart of gold and cared for many people throughout her life. Anyone that ever needed anything knew they could turn to Sharon.

The highlight of her life was spending time with her family. Sharon and Moe were married for over 49 years. She was the best mother that Tracy and Robin could have been blessed to have. When Hunter and Carrie came into her life she slowly started to retire from working, so that she could dedicate most of her time to being a constant figure in their lives. Grandma was present for every game, concert, event, and special times in Hunter and Carrie's life. Sharon also had many nieces and nephews that were very special to her heart.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 (exit 6 off Rt. 100) on Friday, December 18th, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 at 12:00 pm. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis foundation or a charity of your choice.
