Nial "Gene" Eugene Straley Sr.

Nial "Gene" Eugene Straley Sr., age 95, of Halethorpe, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

Gene had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. He found joy in simple pleasures, such as bowling and gardening, sharing his love of these hobbies with family and friends. Gene’s talent and passion for music were equally remarkable. As a member of a country band, he brought songs to life through his guitar playing and heartfelt vocals, captivating and uplifting everyone who had the pleasure of hearing him play.

Above all, Gene took immense pride in his family, treasuring his roles as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. His kindness, humor, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know and love him.

Gene is predeceased by his Beloved and Treasured Wife, Daisy Straley, and Dear Brother Barnet Straley, Sr. Gene is survived by his Loving Children, Linda Miller and Nial Eugene Straley Jr. (Mary); Nine Grandchildren; Twenty-Three Great-Grandchildren; and Three Great-Great Grandchildren.

A visitation for Gene will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at MMP, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
