Can’t believe it has been 2 years already. Miss you girlfriend!!

Lisa , you were full of life and sunshine. You taught me how to be a nurse and to want the desire of being a nurse more , you let me run the ship everyday at work . As you would say I was your work daughter your Torey Bird , we would call sallie aka our 911 for any of our inconveniences . I will miss your fun spunky personality, you getting us to dress up for any and every holiday. I will miss you asking about Brooklyn and even cooking for me . I will miss you asking me to come and braid your hair or to put it up . But mostly importantly I will miss you dearly . Thank you for everything you will definitely not be forgotten.

I had the joy of working side by side with Lisa for over 8 years.  You don't work that closely with someone for that long and not get to know them.  Especially not Lisa.  She was just a giving and kind soul.  Over the years, we shared stories about our families, holidays, birthdays, joys, sad times, you name it.  

Some of my memories of Lisa include:  shower thoughts (we both did our best thinking in the shower), everything bagels (she would sometimes say, "Since it's just you and me tomorrow, I'll bring bagels and coffee for us"),  stuffing balls at Thanksgiving, cheesy grits (she made the BEST!), hard cooked eggs in her egg cooker (I bought one for home after seeing hers!), pho (she introduced me and Bob to it and would have Donald bring it in for the 2 of us for lunch occasionally), movie quotes (we both knew exactly what movie the quote was from), Walking Dead discussions (she told me that I had to watch it when it was on live so we could discuss it the next day) and any new low calorie find that she would bring in and share (always ended up being delicious!).

It is impossible to think of someone so full of life being taken from us so suddenly.  Lisa spread joy wherever she went and her loss will be felt deeply by those who knew and loved her.  

I believe that God felt that Lisa's work here was finished and He called her home.  I also believe that she is in the presence of the Father and is perhaps the "welcoming committee" in Heaven, putting all her hostess skills to good work.  We will see her again one day in glory.  

May God bless and comfort Donald, Sallie, David, her grandsons, parents, and all her family and loved ones.  

 

Lisa was an Extraordinary soul not only to her Patients but to her family and friends as well.  She was not only my co-worker, she was someone I could confide in as well on a personal level. Words can't express how truly heartbroken her family, Patients, friends, co-workers and everyone that was blessed to know her, she was and will always be our Angel. My sincere condolences As she will be deeply missed.

My family and I offer condolences to you the family of Lisa during this very difficult time. May God wrap you in His arms and provide you with a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lisa was God sent. She was my angel. She was my cancer nurse and was there for me at the most difficult times of my life. She lived out her spiritual gift of mercy everyday. She will be missed by her patients and colleagues at Tate Center.
  I thank God that Lisa and I crossed paths here on earth and I look forward to the day I meet her again in glory.

My heartfelt condolences to Donald, Sallie (David) and family.  Although I’ve never met any of you personally, I feel like I know you because Lisa shared so many wonderful stories and happy memories of you all with me.  Lisa has been “my” nurse for several years and we’ve gotten pretty close during my monthly infusions.  She was the best nurse I’ve ever had.  I looked forward to seeing her smiling face, talking with her, hearing that infectious laugh of hers and the occasional stern talking to because I was not always a cooperative patient.  She got me on the right track and I will forever be grateful for her care and compassion.  I will continue to think of Lisa and her kindness, especially during my monthly treatments at the Tate Ctr, as she will surely be missed.   “There is nothing small in the service of God” Saint Francis de Sales…and Lisa was heaven sent.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

It only took a few minutes with Lisa to know that she was a vibrant, loving, and compassionate spirit. 

Melissa and I send our love and prayers especially to Donald, Sallie , Linda and George, George, Jr., and the boys (David, Sr., David, Jr. and Matthew).  However, we know that Lisa touched so many people.  For us, she was our adopted big sister.  She even called us collectively "the sisters". She took care of us, along with Donald, and always made us feel a part of her family, welcomed, and at home.  In addition, I know she felt the same at our home.  One of my favorite memories is when she rushed to our home after I had my hysterectomy because I was having problems with my incision.  She was out shopping with Sallie and Matthew, but came rite over to my aid.   She also made the bouquets and corsages for each of us for our wedding.  That is the kind of person she was. For Melissa, she misses their Sunday morning talks.  Most every Sunday from ridiculous times like 6am for 3 or 4 hours, they would be on the phone talking about their week, recipes, general silliness, just anything and everything.   For the last 12 years, Melissa and Lisa have talked 3-4 times per week.  Very strange and lonely without her.  We miss and love you Big Sis.

We are very sorry to hear about the sudden and tragic loss of Lisa. We wish to offer our deepest condolences and warmest thoughtful prayers for her and all of her family. Her kind light in the neighborhood will be missed by all.

Lisa was just an amazing soul.  I was not only blessed to have her as a co-worker but as a friend. There isn’t a person she wouldn’t help if she could. She was passionate about her work and our patients felt that.  There is such a hole in the heart of our office without that enthusiasm and love…. but that laugh is what I miss hearing every day! She just brightened your day no matter what. 

But her true love was her family! Every time she would talk about Donald, Sallie, the boys or her Momma & Daddy her chest would swell and  that smile just showed all the love and pride she had in everyone of you.  My prayers are with you all every day.

She was one of a kind and is missed beyond measure.

Lisa was one of the most kind and compassionate nurses that I have known. She cared deeply for all her patients. Her kindness was not just limited to her patients but she was kind and loving to all of her colleagues. We are all going to miss her more than words can say.  My sincere condolences to Donald, Sallie and the rest of the family.

It was such an honor to work with Lisa over the past 5 years. I will never forget the warmth her smile brought to our office, compassion shown to her patients and sacrifice that she made for all of us. 

Everyone at Tate is heart-broken. She will be missed dearly. 


Lisa was one of my heroes.  She helped me with my cancer for years.  
She was very cheerful and informative. My heart is broken.  I am certain she is in a better place (heaven). God bless her and her friends and family.

Lisa was so loved by our patients and she will be dearly missed. 
We worked together for 12 years and she and I became close friends, meeting her family and meeting her close friends was a joy.
I will miss her so much as a peer and a personal friend. 

My Deepest Condolences to Donald her loving husband, whenever she would talk about Donald she would smile and say how lucky she was to have him and how he always takes care of her. 

Sallie and her family who she would often brag about with a huge smile and her Mom & Dad who would sometimes come to the office and Brother my sincere sympathy, she will be missed.

I am so sorry Donald, Sallie, Dawn and all of you who Lisa meant so much to.  Praying for all of you struggling through this difficult time.  She always had the door open and great food on the table.  We are all very sad for you and for Lisa whose  life was
cut so short. 

Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of such a genuine fine woman.  Lisa is a hero who gave over and above to her cancer patients and the oncology practice.  She is irreplaceable and we are heartbroken for family friends and those who depend  on her friendly loyal self.
