Judith Ann Schlining

Judith "Judy" Ann Schlining, 76, of Catonsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2023, at Charlestown Senior Living Community. She was born on April 29, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, to J. Ernest and Margaret “Peggy” Snellinger.

Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her witty sense of humor, beautiful smile, strong will, and stoicism. She never complained, even as she struggled with multiple sclerosis for most of her life.

Judy graduated from Trinity Preparatory School of Ilchester, Maryland, and started a career in real estate in 1981. She was a successful real estate broker and took great pride in helping people find their dream homes.

Judy loved gardens, particularly azaleas and her Christmas cactus. She treasured her family, and was very close with her parents and siblings.

She is survived by her three children, whom she called her “Triple Crown”, and six grandchildren: Marty Schlining (Teresa Ward) and daughters Victoria and Megan and son Garrett of Glen Burnie, MD, Brian Schlining (Kyra) and daughters Aine and Maia of Pacific Grove, CA, and Christina Schelde (Travis Young) and daughter Zoe of Eagle, CO. She is also survived by her five siblings, Jay Snellinger (Mary) of Port Jervis, NY, Margaret “Peggy” Chiuchiolo (Mike) of Bonita Springs, FL, Elizabeth “Betsy” Nussear of Ellicott City, MD, Patricia “Trish” Mikkleson (Greg) of Merritt Island, FL, and MaryAnn Kaplan (Mark) of Orlando, FL.

Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a kind, compassionate, and loving person who touched the lives of all who were close to her. Her memory will live on in our hearts forever.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, Maryland 21228 on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 10:00 am. Inurnment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
