Jeffrey (Jeff) James Manzione passed away suddenly on April 6, 2024, at the age of 63. He was born on September 13, 1960, in Glen Head, New York to Nancy and James Manzione. He grew up on Long Island in the town of Glen Head as one of 8 children in a home built by his Father. Although he was born in the midst of a category 4 hurricane, Hurricane Donna, he is remembered as a calm and gentle soul. After graduating from C.W. Post Center of Long Island University he went on to obtain a degree in chemical engineering at Polytech Institute of New York.
He met the love of his life, Linda Curtain Manzione, whom he married and settled in a home in Ellicott City, Maryland. Together they raised their fraternal twins, Jeffrey, Jr and Jessica. When his company decided to move, Jeff did not want to uproot his family from their established home and the children’s school. Instead, he started his own home remodeling business, M and M Home Improvement. He was a brilliant yet simple and humble man who lived a life centered on his family and his work. He was well known as a creative guy who could fix and make just about anything, including constructing a home for his son. He took after his Father, James Manzione, in his brilliant ability to construct just about anything but often was thought of as being even better. He was a great man with a wonderful heart willing to help all in need with anything, always seeing the best in others and making all feel loved.
He lost his loving wife Linda suddenly in 2013 and immediately took on the role of Mom and Dad, raising his two very successful, loving, and wonderful children, Jeffrey and Jessica. He was overjoyed when his son married Marianela this past October and looked forward to watching them develop a life together. He passed on his talents, wisdom and work ethic to his two wonderful children, who he loved dearly and meant everything to him and continuously made him proud. Whether it was a laugh, a smile or some helpful advice, Jeffrey’s heart was incredibly large and will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to cross his path.
He is preceded in death by his parents Nancy and James Manzione and his loving wife Linda. He leaves behind a loving family; children Jeffrey (Marianela) and Jessica, siblings Jim (Maisie) Manzione, Nancy Manzione, Madeline (Joe)Manzione-Passarelli, Tom (Debra) Manzione, Claire (Paul) Passarelli, Stuart (Terri) Manzione, and Laurie (Rocco) Grella,16 nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews.
