Jamil (Jim) Ghanayem went home to be with Jesus, surrounded by his family, on November 1, 2022 after a fierce battle with esophageal cancer. Jim was deeply devoted to the Lord, his church, and his family. He developed many life-long friends in his years working for Washington, DC Metro train system, and then later working for Baltimore light rail. Jim enjoyed playing his guitar at church and home, wood working, photography, and driving his RV out West. He especially loved to study Biblical History and Archeology. Jim loved learning about practically everything, was known for his ability to troubleshoot and fix just about anything. Many benefited from his teacher’s heart. In his last days enjoyed watching the new series, The Chosen. He will be missed so much by his two children and their spouses: Jim (Elizabeth), Michelle (Cheyne); grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kristen, Terilyn, Adelei, Julie and Pearce, and sister, Pamela Westfield, whom he loved very much. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Terri and his parents Hernan Ghanayem and Camille Kluscarits.
The family will welcome friends and family at Bethel Baptist Church 416 Wellham Ave., Ferndale, MD 21061 for visitation Friday, November 4, 2022 from 3-5pm at the church with the funeral service beginning at 7pm.
