APRIL 4, 1968 – MARCH 16, 2018
On Friday March 16, 2018, David W. Hayes Jr. passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at his home in Laurel, Md. He was a longtime and dedicated employee of Bond Distributing in Baltimore, Md. He enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Orioles. David was a man of few words, but many actions. He was always willing to reach out and help when any one was in need. He found great joy in spoiling his only nephew Jordan as well as being surrounded by his large network of friends. No one could ever ask to have a more dedicated and loyal person in their life.
David is survived by his Beloved mother, Shirley “Dolly” Ryals, sister DeborahToppins, brother-in-law Anthony Toppins, and nephew Jordan Toppins, his 2 aunts, Verna Hartlove and Mary “Sparkle” Evans with her husband Ron Evans, cousins Robert Geoghegan, Jonathan Hartlove, Steven Evans, and Thomas Evans. He is preceded in death by his father, David W Hayes Sr., maternal grandparents, Vernon and Dorothy Geoghegan, paternal grandparents, Harvey and Elsie Hayes, stepfather Frank Ryals, cousin Richard Geoghegan, uncles Terry “Lucky” Geoghegan and Vernon “Butch” Geoghegan.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 ( exit 6 off Rt. 100 south) on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:00 am. Entombment at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Elkridge, Md will immediately follow.
