Albert Sonny "Sonny" Bolton III

Albert “Sonny” E. Bolton III, age 46, of Rapid City passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Munson Medical Center. He was born June 13, 1967 in Traverse City to Albert E. Bolton Jr. and Margaret L. Kenwabikise-Way.

Sonny owned and operated his own construction company for many years. He was a hard worker and there was always someone he was helping. Sonny was a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and watching movies. He was a Red Wings Fan and enjoyed watching them on TV.

Sonny is survived by his father Albert Bolton Jr. and a step dad Daniel Way; children: Kandyce (Karl) Ott of Kewadin, Paul (Brittany) Kalinowski of Mancelona, Jonathan Vasher of Alden, Taylor Hooper of Colorado, Whitney Lewis, and Amy Zundel; 5 grandchildren: Maddilynn and Natalee Kalinowski, Emmett Ott, Tiana Ashley, and Brookelyn Zundel and another on the way; siblings: Brenda Romitti of Green Bay WI and Jack Bolton of Manistee, MI; niece and nephews: Casey Bolton, Joshua Romitti, Niko Romitti, Jason Romitti, and Sabrina Romitti; many aunts and uncles.

Sonny was preceded in death by his mother Margaret.

A funeral will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1 pm at the Covell Funeral Home in Elk Rapids with visitation starting at 11am also at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the spring at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
