He was a native of Hardin County and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was a member of the NRA and retired from Greenbrier Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Keplinger of Elizabethtown; one son, Walter Clell Keplinger of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Kelly Keplinger-Page (Chad) of Elizabethtown; three brothers, Curtis Keplinger (Joann) of Franklin, Larry Keplinger of Bowling Green and Mike Keplinger of Elizabethtown; one sister, Beverly Chambers (Leon) of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Candice Hodges (Kyle) of Fort Knox and Thomas Wheeler of Lawrenceville, GA and one great grandchild, Fintan Hodges.
A Memorial Service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Chambers officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
