Better known as Dad or Uncle Joe, he was known for his innovative ideas, which led to numerous accolades and recognitions through his many careers. To list a few: Air Force, car sales, technical writing, T.V repairman, earned a Master’s Degree in Vocational Computer Engineering, and a professor at Tarrant County College. He retired as a software engineer/analyst and inventor.
Joe loved music, ballroom dancing, fishing, hunting, photography, writing poetry, wine, and had a flirtatious humor with the ladies.
While attending college, with his wife and children in tow, Joe coached a little league baseball team in rural East Texas. Joe's hard demeanor softened and he often provided shoes for the team. You see a few kid's showed up barefoot. This selfless act of generosity touched the lives of many, and left a lasting impact on the community.
Often times, through illnesses, his will was strong, his body was weak and I would tell him, "I love you." Dad would raise his hand, as if giving a toast, smiling, saying, and “Spread the love."
Joseph Warren Dillingham, Dad, Uncle Joe will live on in the hearts and minds of his loving family.
