Joseph Claude Alvey

He was the son of Everett and Nola Dayberry Alvey. Joseph was born on August 24, 1934 in Morganfield, KY. He retired from the Air Force as MSGT. He served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Joseph will be remembered for his humility, kindness, sense of humor, and devotion to the Lord. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Helga Alvey; his son, Robert J. Alvey; and his granddaughter, Angela E. Kirchner.

Joseph is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Paul) Kirchner; a grandson, David (Chelsea) Kirchner; three granddaughters, Claire E. Bartlett, Emma S. Alvey and Katherine M. Alvey; and five great-grandchildren, Avery Caudill, Ronan Caudill, Donovan Caudill, Elijah Kirchner and Angela H. Kirchner.

The funeral mass is 11 A.M. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Per Joseph’s request, there will be no visitation.
