He was a native of Meade County, a member of Grandview Baptist Church and was a Farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Webb and Lucille Rogers; a sister, Lillian Vance; two brothers-in-law, Johnnie Dodd and H. L. Durham and a nephew, Don Rogers.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Rogers; three children, Tim Rogers of New Iberia, LA, David (Hope) Rogers of Sonora and Sheila (Glenn) Harrington of Cecilia; his siblings, Alice Jean (Ronnie) Wells of Hannibal, MO, Elroy (Doris) Rogers and Leslie (Linda) Rogers all of Rineyville, Joyce Dodd of North Houston, TX, and Wanda Durham of Radcliff; a brother-in-law, Gene Vance of Vine Grove; three step grandchildren; one great grandson and several close nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Breeze officiating.
Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and continue after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral Home.
