Ethel Christine (Parrett) Thomas

She was a member of Valley Creek Baptist Church and always put her family first. Ethel enjoyed making quilts, painting, working puzzles, and cooking. She really enjoyed tending to her flowers and plants.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years and the father of her eight children, Garland A. Thomas, Jr.; three brothers, Leroy, Bobby, and Tommy Parrett; four sisters, Hazel Helm, Ruth Pollock, Shirley Williams, and Ella Garner; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

She is survived by six sons, Gary (Marletta) Thomas, Donnie Thomas, Dennis (Kim) Thomas, and Bruce (Cheryl) Thomas all of Elizabethtown, Rick (Tonya) Thomas of Glendale, and Doug (Stephanie) Thomas of White Mills; two daughters, Linda (Rick) Cook of Caneyville and Lisa (Bob) Campbell of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Billy Parrett and Benny (Patty) Parrett; one sister, Judy (Jim) Harlan; 22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continues after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The funeral is Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Pastor Leroy Routt officiating.

Burial follows in Valley Creek Cemetery.
