Bill devoted his entire life to social services for the community of El Paso. He was a Master’s level therapist working with individuals, families and groups. His experience was in children’s protective services, therapeutic foster care, and individual and family counseling. He earned his Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Texas at El Paso, Master of Arts in Counseling from Webster University and a Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Bill worked for Buen Salud, Inc. of Santa Teresa, NM and Counseling Services of Texas. Bill also spent many years as a youth boys’ soccer coach for AYSO.
Bill’s great passion was playing and coaching rugby. He played for the El Paso Scorpions Rugby Club and later on went to coach the Rugby Club for the University of Texas at El Paso and the Westside Crusaders.
Bill is preceded by his parents Capt. John Weldon Sadler and Maureen Sadler. Grandparents: John and Lena (Sullivan) White, Lola Sadler, and nephew Joshua R. Ortegon. Survived by his wife Danna Bustamante-Sadler, his son, Jordan Sadler, lifelong friend, Brian Weston, and Christina Jimenez . His sister-in-law Paula Fierro and companion Anthony Gonzales, Sister-in-law Monica and husband Martin Quijano, nephews and niece; Issac Bustamante, Martin Quijano, Jr., Ismael Quijano and wife Jessica, Danika and husband Oz Velasquez, Joel Quijano and Jose D. Gonzales (JD). Great nephews and nieces; Ismael Quijano, Jr., Madilynn Velasquez, Zak-Anthony Velasquez, Martin Quijano, III, Joshua R. Ortegon, Jr., Audriana Quijano, Zerrik Velaquez, and Jase R. Ortegon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Center of Compassionate Care West – Hospice of El Paso.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Martin Funeral Home West, with a Vigil Service 7:00pm. www.martinfuneralhomewest.com
