William H. (Bill) Rogers (10/20/25-4/19/14) was born in El Paso, TX to Dr. Will P. and Lula B. Rogers, who predeceased him. Also in heaven to greet him are his wife of 60 years, Jane Lake Rogers and his sister, Sallie Ruth Harvey. Bill and his wife brought coin-operated dry cleaning to El Paso at their store called Automatic Cleaning Center. Bill was a member of Trinity-First United Methodist Church and also the Anthony Country Club where he spent many enjoyable hours with his golfing buddies. Even though he was long retired, Bill loved to recount tales of things that happened while he worked in the Test Section at the El Paso Electric Co. Bill served in the Pacific Theatre on Kwajalein at the end of WWII. He is survived by daughter, Jane Peyton (JP) Rogers; son Joe Lake Rogers (Leslie); grandson, 1st Lt. Joshua Lake Rogers; and granddaughter, Mariah Marie Rogers; as well as nieces Eileen A. Moody and Sallie White Broaddus and their families; and several cousins. In addition Bill is survived by friends and those who cared for him in his last days, Gabby Crews, Sandra Boyd, and La Mariposa Hospice. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Martin Funeral Home West. Interment will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 9:30AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00AM at Trinity-First United Methodist Church, 801 N. Mesa.
