William “Bill” Brian Hughes, 48, soared on angel wings to Heaven on January 21, 2022. He was a loving husband to Vonessa Hughes and a proud Dad to Gabriel (16), Benji (13), and Noah (12), as well as a devoted son to his parents, Bill & Marion Hughes, a cherished brother to his sister Lisa Hughes-Higdon and her husband, Mike, and a constant liveliness to many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Bill (Brian) was born on June 2, 1973 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He spent most of his life as a military brat before his family settled in El Paso, Texas. He went on to pursue a career as a truck driver, traveling many miles across the United States, before making his home in Mertzon, Texas, as an oil field worker with New Tex.
More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, but especially with his precious boys bowling, fishing, shooting or any other outdoor adventure!
Bill (Brian) had a smile and a heart as big as the moon & never met a stranger. His constant jokes, reciting of movie lines and his hysterical impersonations would brighten anyone’s day. He had a passion for life that showed in his hazel eyes and on his sweet face. He was our precious “Bubba.” He will never know the impact he had on so many lives or how much he is loved and will be missed.
We encourage all family and friends to share stories of love and remembrance to honor Bill (Brian)…we know you all have one.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 12, from 1:00-5:00pm with the Memorial service at 2:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer Street. (Service will be livestreamed through Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/270375139754347)
