William Bee Fields passed away peacefully on October 28, 2017 at the age of 81. He was the husband of Virginia Tyree Fields. He graduated from Fabens High in Fabens, Texas, and Texas Western (UTEP) with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and Delta Sigma Pi International Fraternity. He attended Graduate School at Indiana University. He was the Vice President of First Savings and Loan and El Paso Federal Savings and Loan for over twenty years. He served as secretary and was a Life Member of the Downtown Lions Club and Texas Lions Camp. He worked for Resolution Trust Corporation in Houston, and Montwood National Bank in El Paso.
Virginia and William Fields are survived by daughters Brenda Fields Cram and husband Frank of Arlington, Texas; and Holly Fields Krafsur and husband Andy of El Paso; and William’s sister, Carol Sue Fields Hogg and husband Gayle. They are survived by seven grandchildren, Travis Cram of Lubbock, Texas; Trey Cram and Mary Cram of Arlington, Texas; and Alyssa Krafsur, Alana Krafsur and Neil Krafsur of El Paso, Texas; and two great-grandchildren Brett E. Cram and Kynlee Cram of Lubbock, Texas. They are preceded in death by grandson Brett William Cram of Arlington, Texas.
