Dr. Spier was my neighbor in Cloudcroft. He was ways so plesant and inviting and I spent many times on his porch talking and sharing. He will be missed each time I am in cloud.

What a gallant man.  I had the pleasure of knowing him for the past 20 years and he was gracious, loving, and patient.  I was honored to know him.

You will be missed by this long time neighbor  and car guy. I enjoyed our conversations and friendship  alot. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

I got to know Cheri and Werner later in life - through El Paso Pro-Musica and through hosting the El Paso Physician TV show. Photos of the El Paso Medical Museum contents currently decorate the TV set of the show. Kudos to both Werner and Cheri for all the work they poured into that museum now housed at EPCMS. Werner always kept me on my your toes with great questions and his fabulous wit.  Aufwiedersehn Werner.

Dear friends of my beloved father Werner,  Thank-you for the kind messages and tributes to Werner and my dear mother Cheri.  I had wonderful parents who enjoyed full lives.  Werner was so devoted to Cheri, his children, extended family, his profession, colleagues and co-workers.  He and Cheri enjoyed many passions together, including flying, travel, music and literature. Bobby and I inherited their morality and sense of humor.  We are comforted in that they are both finally together again in what he referred to as "the big hanger in the sky". I miss you both!

Dear Friends of my dearest father Werner,  Thank-you so much for your messages to Bob (Bobby in Texas of course).  My dad was so wonderful and devoted to his wife, children and extended family, his close friends, and his patients, colleagues and co-workers in his profession.  He and my beloved mother Cheri together enjoyed music and travel and books and caring for each other. Bobby and I inherited his morality and sense of humor. Bob & Sharon, we are so sorry for the loss of your dad, we enjoyed his visits all the years that we maintained his prized airplane. We still smile at the wonderful thoughts he left embedded in our minds. We will never ever forget the baked goodies that your mom and dad brought us at Christmas time for us to share with other pilots who visited the Fabens Airport. They truly made a beautiful couple. I was so sorry to hear about Dr. Spier today.  Please accept my deepest condolences. I always admired his devotion to your mom, and his loving presence in your lives.

I was so sorry to hear about your loss - I had the honor and privilege to work with Dr. Spier for my 21 years at the "old" PMH - he was a wonderful physican and a kind and gentle man! - Cheri and Werner stopped in Billings, MT for an overnight visit when they were on one of their "plane" trips - great memories - with deepest sympathy - Alice Gordon, Billings, MT

WERNER AND  HIS FATHER WERE BOTH GREATLY RESPECTED , EXCELLENT PHYSICIANS, CARING, EXACT AND COMPASSIONATE. HE WILL BE MISSED.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of your father. Dr. Spier is resting in peace. I was in OB at Hotel Dieu. He was one of a kind for his patients and his nurses.  He always took care of me. I will miss him greatly.

I will always remember Werner with wonderful memories.  His father, Erich, delivered me, and Werner delivered my three daughters.  I cried for days when he retired.  Rest in peace wonderful man.

My deepest sympathies to the Spier family.  Dr. Spier has been one of the most influential individuals in my life.  Not only did he deliver me into this world, but as a young adult, he inspired me by his patient, kind and gentle manner - never appearing flustered by a busy day at the office - and always with the utmost sense of professionalism. Dr. Spier was, by far, the nicest man I have ever met! He often spoke of his travels, love of music and the pride he had for his children. My deepest sympathy to the family during this difficult time.

We are so sorry to hear of Werner's death. He was a wonderful frienn and person. We met when he was 4 and I was 3 and have been best friends ever since. I can't express how much he will be missed.

I am so sorry to learn of the death of my very good friend Werner. He is now at peace with our beloved Cheri. God bless them both! We spent many happy hours together working on the El Paso Medical Heritage project at the Turner House.
