My sincere condolences to the Green family. I knew him in the EPPD, graduating from the same Academy class in 1977. Later we conducted background investigations at the academy and we both started at Central Station. Walter was always a pleasure to be around with, he was a kind person and fun to work with. Rest in peace Brother in Blue.

I will always treasure my friendship with Walter.  I enjoyed all of  his stories to include those of  Momsen Dunnegan Ryan, Smokestack Banana, how he met Juanita, the careers of his sons, Electraglide in Blue, Pride and Joy,  Chesty Puller, and the latest Departmental gossip.  
Walter was the funniest person I have ever known. He could also take a good ribbing and laugh along when the joke was on him.  He was there with words of sympathy and wisdom during a particularly low time in my life,  and for this  I am forever grateful.  I am so glad we kept in touch after retirement.   I miss you, my friend.

Had not seen Walter in a long time. But I still remember him as a kind, caring, humorous person. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Walter will be greatly missed. He had a great sense of humor. He  always would spend time with friends and family just to be around people he liked. Bless you, Walter!

Sorry to  hear that Walter left us. He was a great individual with high moral and ethical beliefs. His sense of humor also sets Walter apart from the rest of us.

Walter Green will forever remain  a dear friend of the Socorro Mission Gift Shop. He donated many unique leather-crafted items that are treasured by those who purchased them. Only one piece remains in the shop—-a burgundy leather cross with a silver crest. We will always remember the Saturday morning that Leo brought him for a visit. He brought his portfolio and we got to view his vast and genius leather creations. We, at the Socorro Mission, remain forever grateful to you, a generous, kind, and gentle man. Our prayers are with you and your family.

John 11:25-26. Then Jesus said to him: "I am the resurrection and the life." He who believes in me will live, even if he dies; and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this? 

Beloved Green Family:  It was a privilege to meet Mr. Walter. He  pertained to the golden generation of Man that were built strong minded, determined,  and brave. With no fear in life he protected his country, his community and raised a family. We will always remember his warm smile and friendship. 
May our faith in Christ be the light during this time of sorrow.

He was a blessing to know and it was a blessing to be a part of his final stages of his life's journey where he now rests with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Walter and Don were partners for several years. Don always said Walter was the best partner he ever worked with! They had each other's backs!! 
We also enjoyed a wonderful friendship. We had some great dinners together and Don said Juanita made the best chili rellenos ever!! Camping trips shared were filled with lots of fun and laughter! We even crashed a NYE's party at a westside Holiday Inn one year and had a blast!! Now Walter and Don shall continue those craycray days in Heaven...but they must behave themselves or else the BIG Boss will not be happy!
