Valerie Heller Burnett, 56, left to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Valerie was born in El Paso, Texas on January 4, 1968 and graduated from Loretto Academy in 1986. After high school, she attended UTEP and also graduated from the International Business College in El Paso in 1989. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas from 1991-1993. Valerie returned to El Paso in 1994 and began her work as the Office Manager at the family business, Associated Properties, in El Paso. Valerie developed a passion for the real estate industry and remained at Associated Properties for almost 30 years, where she facilitated home leasing and resident services for thousands of El Paso families until her death. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she was saved in 1999.
Valerie is survived by her husband, Ray Trent Burnett; two sons, Austin Burnett of El Paso and Travis Burnett of Portland, Oregon; mother, Lillian Heller of El Paso; three sisters, Janet Reynolds, wife of James Reynolds, Pamela Mathews, wife of William Christopher Mathews, and Marcia Heller, all of El Paso; two brothers, Paul Heller, husband to Lynn Heller, both of Waco, Texas and Emil Heller, husband to Monica Heller, both of El Paso; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Emil E. Heller II and her niece, Rebecca Leigh King of Harker Heights, Texas.
Services are being handled by Funeraria del Angel Restlawn.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn at 8817 Dyer St. Funeral Service will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church at 4710 Hercules on February 1, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. followed by graveside service at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at 8700 Dyer St. at 2:00p.m. Pallbearers will be Eric Mathews, Zachary Heller, Kris Plantaz, Justin Petty, Sean Sanchez, and Patrick Sanchez.
