I was best friends with Tony when we were stationed in Los Angeles. I shared many good times with this man and am sad he is gone.  I never forget cruising in my Cadillac and going to Santa Anita to bet the horses and hanging out at Jay Dees. See you on the other side brother

May the lord provide strength to all of your family. Miss Margarita I will truly miss you. You are a kind soul and a wonderful caring person, ALWAYS asking how I was doing, or how my family was doing. You always remembered to ask about my son, and Miss Margarita, you were the first person to give my baby Evelyn a gift, and it completely breaks my heart you never got to meet her. Margarita, you were always available to help with anything I needed (professional or otherwise). Miss Margarita, it was a privilege to have worked and have you as a friend. It is with a broken heart I say good- bye. May you be at peace with our Lord.

May the Lord give you strength during this difficult time. Margarita was a caring person and her beautiful smile will be missed. God Bless those who are left to treasure her memories.

She knew everything about you and could remember every family member name, every friend and asked for every update. She could quote an author with lightning speed, recall research and data with ease. Yet she thought I was amazing because I could quote a silly sequence from a movie. That was us, Oscar and Felix, the Odd Couple, running curriculum and instruction with the same ideal and completely different styles with solidarity and commitment to do best by teachers and by kids. She positively affected so many teachers and so many students. With a smile and her demeanor, she would put you at ease and miraculously you would tell her your life story. 

6 years of eating lunch with you every day I realized that lady, you were tough on the outside and squishy on the inside and full of love to give to so many people. I feel like a part of me is missing and I don't know what I'm going to do when I can't text you or call you. I don't know what I will do the next professional development where I can't look across the room to you and read your face and know what you are thinking because that is exactly what I was thinking. I will miss you and I feel empty. I promise I will take care of all that you loved and the people you cared for to honor your memory and our friendship. She is my work partner, Margarita Guitierrez, Educator. She was a middle school math teacher, assistant principal, USP mentor coach, Facilitator for Middle School Math, Grant writer and facilitator for the Digital Storytelling Grant and half of the curriculum and instruction department of Anthony ISD. That was just her day job, she was also an amazing aunt, sister, cousin and friend and confidante. I guess confidante is how I would sum her up best, and we lost her to breast cancer. My heart is crying.

We love you aunt mati and will miss you. Tell my dad what a ham Levi is and I'm glad you and Marta got to meet him. Prayers for Marta's continued strength and the rest of our family.

We had lost touch, but I value our friendship in Sonora and years later in El Paso. I have wonderful memories of our outings to country dance places in El Paso. We shared laughs and maybe a few drinks. You were my co-wedding planner and bridesmaid. Thanks for the laughs and memories!
