Teresa Sandoval

On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, Teresa (Terri) Sandoval 69, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and godmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She is reunited with her loving parents that she missed dearly, Pete and Elena Castañon.

Terri was born in El Paso, Texas on March 29, 1955. She was devoted to the Catholic faith, the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the 12pm San Antonio de Padua choir which she was a member of for over 35 years. In 2008, she became a Rally Captain for America Needs Fatima and organized the Lady of Fatima Rosary Rally for 11 years at Phoenix Park. In 2015, she joined the Saturday evening choir at Our Lady of Sorrows and sang at both parishes until 2020. Terri truly loved serving the church and praying for those in need.

Our beautiful mother is survived by her 2 daughters, Lety Martinez (Chris) and Cassandra Sandoval (Fernie) and her 5 grandchildren that she loved dearly, Oswaldo Ozzy, Reyna Elena, Olivia Destinee, Rihanna Love, and Ozira Marilyn. She has 2 great grandchildren, Zae Damian and Aalilah Sky that brought her so much joy. Our mother was blessed with 14 siblings, Lourdes Nick (Belinda), Pedro III (Rita), Tony, Luis (Margie), Estela Amaya (Raul), Carlos (Imelda), Berta Sano (Martin), Lola Pontillo (Frank ), Sukie Medina (Kenneth), Sally Gutierrez, Jerry Sr. (Anna), Felix (Norma), David, and Mario (Maribel). She has 89 nieces and nephews and 10 godchildren. She loved and cherished her family and friends. Throughout her battle with her illness Terri kept her faith. Her devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary, her strength and constant positivity was amazing to witness. She was a light in so many lives and will truly be missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A visitation for Terri will be held on Wed., July 3, 2024 from 9:00am to 12:30pm with the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 10:00am and the Holy Rosary at 11:00am at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Drive, El Paso, TX 79936. Funeral Mass will also be held on July 3, 2024 at 1:00pm at San Antonio Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Dr, El Paso, TX 79915 with a graveside service to follow from 2:00pm to 2:30pm at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907.
