Teresa Maria Corona

Teresa grew up in Chihuahua and came to the United States at the age of 17 years old. She first arrived in El Paso Texas. She was the second eldest of 12 children, she had 5 brothers and 6 sisters.

She married Tito R Corona July 4,th 1972 in Los Angeles, CA and she had 4 children, Corina Corona Placencia, Stephen Tito Corona, Edward Corona and Edgar Knight.

She is survived by her 4 children and 7 grandchildren: Ceaser Franco, Joseph Corona, Bianca Corona, Andrew Placencia, Damien Knight, Isabel Knight, and newborn Lucienne Justina Corona.

Teresa was extremely proud of her grandchildren, proud of becoming a Naturalized U.S citizen and her home cooking. Teresa’s natural culinary skills made it very difficult for a lot of people to enjoy someone else’s cooking. She prided herself in making the best flour tortillas, best chicken mole, and pork pozole, among other dishes. Her cooking skills reflected the love she poured into her family and friends.

She will be truly missed by everyone near and far.

A visitation for Teresa will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Vigil at 6:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Central. A vigil will occur Monday, October 10, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Central. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 9:30 AM at St Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N Mesa.
