Teddie Darrell Shelfer was born August 28, 1936 in Sweetwater, Texas to Viola Noble Shelfer and Robert Lee Shelfer. He passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 in El Paso, Texas at the age of 86.

Ted was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from the El Paso Fire Department as a Lieutenant in 1988 after 28 years of service.He was a member of Westside Church of Christ for many years and served on the board of El Paso Christian Children's Services and the Anahuac Children's Home in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Ted is survived by his loving wife Linda Shelfer and his children, David Shelfer (Karen), Julie Delgado (Carlos) and Lori Shelfer. He is also survived by his grandchildren Abby, CJ, Dusty, and Katie.
