Born April 20, 1944, in Worcester, MA, Steve and his family lived throughout the U.S. and Japan following his father’s assignments in the U.S. Army. Ultimately, the family settled in El Paso where Steve became a proud graduate of Cathedral High School in 1963.
Beginning his life of service, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1964, serving in many ways, most faithfully as a chaplain’s assistant. On returning home, he graduated with a degree in education from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Continuing his dedication to serve, he worked as a teacher and was regarded by many as a "guide on the side” at Ramona Elementary. During his 29-year professional career, he proudly cultivated academic excellence, and he actively encouraged using technology to assist the upward mobility of the students and staff. He retired in 1997.
A loyal servant of Jesus Christ, he was an usher at St. Patrick Cathedral. With a smiling face, he welcomed the faithful to the celebration of The Eucharist for over 40 years.

Ross, and siblings William (Tessy), Mark (Laura), Anne (Joe Petrini), His surviving Antone inlaws are Felix Thomas, Suzanne, Joseph, and Margie (Curt Warren),.
