Sherm as he wanted to be known passed peacefully on November 6th at the wonderful age of 95. He was under the care El Paso Hospice. Sherm was born on 21 February 1926 in Sunapee, N.H. He was preceded in death by his Mother Cornela and Father Frederick, preceded by his beautiful wife Eva J. Rollins, and their Son Mark Rollins. He is survived by his Grandsons Patrick Rollins of Lake Havasu, Az., and Kyle Rollins of Statesville N.C.
Sherm joined the U.S. Army and served in in the Korean War. He earned the Army Commendation Medal, and the Legion of Merit. He attended Officers Candidate School, the U.S. Army Language School, the Command and Staff College. After retirement from the Army, he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service until 1991. He proudly restored a Ford Model A which he donated to the War Eagles Museum of Santa Teresa, N.M. His other interest was coin collecting. He was the epitome of a Gentleman and very generous with a great smile.
There will be a viewing on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Hillcrest Funeral Home at 1060 N Carolina followed by burial at the Ft. Bliss Cemetery.
