Sandra (Calhoun) Bannister passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the age of 75. She was born in El Paso, Texas on September 2, 1947 to Bud and Lueva Calhoun. After graduating from El Paso High School she attended Lubbock Christian College and then went to work for the F.B.I. in Washington, D.C. She returned back to El Paso to raise her family and build a lifetime of memories.
Sandra was married to Michael R. Bannister on June 21, 1986 and they were together nearly 37 years. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend. She is survived by her husband Michael, children (Kelly Blankenship, Kimberly Blankenship Curro, J.D. Bannister, Kristen Bannister, Holi Ann Bannister) and her mother, Lueva Calhoun.
Also known as Sandy, Mom, Nanny and Honey, she was admired and loved by all who knew her. Sandra was the love of Michael’s life and he will miss her always.
Services will be held at Memory Gardens of the Valley on Wednesday, March 29th at 11am.
