He was called by our Lord on January 1, 2024. Sal served proudly as a soldier of the 1st Cavalry Division of the United States Army. He continued to serve the public as a Public transit operator in both Los Angeles, CA and El Paso, TX. He also moonlighted as a security officer until the young age of 82 after his daughters voluntold him to retire and chill. Sal was a loyal fan of the Las Vegas Raiders and LA Dodgers. He enjoyed watching Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson, and Chuck Norris movies. On any given day you could catch him watching reruns of "Gunsmoke", "In the Heat of the Night", "CSI", "Blue Bloods", or "Law and Order." Sal loved his cake, donuts (basically anything with sugar), and his cafecito. He was grumpy at times and his wife and daughters affectionately called him Yosemite Sam because that side of him would come out when he had to mow the lawn (and he would wear boots with his shorts while doing so).
He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Julieta S. Hernandez; Daughters Laura I. Aguilar, Monica Hernandez, and Julieta O. Pulido; Sons-In-Law Blas Pulido Jr. and Marco Romero; Grandchildren Ricardo Resendez Jr., Javier A. Almada, Joshua Resendez, Evlyn M. Pulido, Abraham J. Pulido, Damien Ayala, Daniel N. Pulido, and Valerie S. Pulido; Siblings Gilbert and Flor.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ofelia Ramirez Hernandez and Salvador Hernandez; Daughter Valeria Aguilar; and Siblings Daniel, Bobby, and Yolanda.
