My mother (Ruth's sister) Consuelo "Chelo", Uncle Norman and I are saddened by your sudden death. As Christians we do not question the Lord's timing.  But you will be missed terribly.

I thank you for caring for me as a new born infant because my Mother was too ill to lift me much less care for me. That was our forever bond. 

Like all the Salazar women, you were a loving, strong influence and a giving force. Your laughter could fill a room. When you uttered the word "mija" it always warmed my heart.  Thank you for loving me unconditionally (even when I misbehaved) and for being such a positive influence on your children and their children. The memories are many Tia, until we meet again...

Tia thank you for being my kids protector and always being there for my kids and myself. You were such a big hearted loving caring soul. I am going to miss you. Until we meet again. I love you Tia Ruth, May you continue to spread your wings and fly with the angels and continue to do gods work. Rest easy Tia Ruth.

Momma Ruth was my prayer warrior.  She knew the Lord and whenever extra  intercession was needed on my behalf, I could call on her and she would pray with me and for me.  She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful spirit. When we would talk she always had a positive attitude and a kind word no matter what was going on in her life.  I will miss her dearly but I know she is with the Lord and that makes me glad.


I surely will miss visiting or talking with you each week and hearing the joy in your voice as you spoke about your family, near and far. I have never met another person who so selflessly gave of herself to others, over and over, never expecting a return or reward. I reflect on our last visit together and smile as I remember you gushing about your children and their spouses and listening to your grandchildren’s laughter then summarizing “I’m a truly blessed woman!”.  I hope your family finds peace in knowing that you GAVE love and FELT loved.   Farewell “Ms. Ruth”,


Condolences to the family of my beloved friend, Ruth Lopez. I have been blessed to have had Ruth in my life as a source of encouragement, friendship and love. Whenever we visited in person or on the telephone, our conversation was centered on the goodness of the Lord in our lives.
