Anne married Frank in 1978. Frank was an engineer with Monsanto, and they lived in Paris for several years and developed many lasting friendships. Anne was a devoted volunteer and an avid animal lover. In her younger years, Anne’s family bred and showed collies and shetland sheepdogs. She volunteered with the El Paso Zoo for many years bringing animals to schools, hospitals, and local retirement homes for all to enjoy. Because of her great work, Anne was promoted to Zoo Volunteer Coordinator. She was also a longstanding member (60+ years) of Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA), an international philanthropic organization that supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and other charitable causes. She served as Chapter President of the Kansas and NM Chapters and held many other officers positions including Chapter Chaplain. Anne had many friends across the country due to her ESA service. She also volunteered with her Church, RSVP of El Paso, and the Assistance League benefiting Operation School Bell.
Anne was a woman who got things done and loved doing it. She was an educator at heart and possessed boundless energy, a happy spirit, and a great sense of humor. Her enthusiasm for life and learning was unending and she continued to seek and grow in her faith until the end. She was a loving and devoted mother and friend and will be greatly missed.
Thank you to the caring staff of Golden Park Foster Care and Remarkable Hospice, to Angie Gomez, Hugo Gomez, and Linda Black for their loving care and friendship.
