He is survived by his wife Patricia Diaz; sister Irene Mier and brother Bennie Diaz Jr. His wonderful family includes Evelyn Portillo (Polo), Priscilla Diaz, Jesus Diaz (Fran), Rudy Diaz Jr. (deceased) Raul Diaz and Richard Diaz (Jennifer). His life was a full life... including grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
It was full of family LOVE that made this strong “macho” man melt into a big man with nothing but LOVE. His family would come to visit him, even though some traveled from many miles away. He worked hard at Coors Beer for 23 years until he hurt his back and had to go on disability. This bothered him because he was “old school” and was supposed to work for his family and couldn’t. In his earlier life the family he started was with Martha, the mother of his 6 kids and with her passing he found Patricia. Patricia was with him until his final days. She is a good woman who was there till the end. Our family Thanks her so much. He had many friends that stayed in contact with him for years. He was so Loved and he had a good life. Rest my brother your work here was done.
A memorial service for Rudy will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903. Following the memorial service will be a vigil at 3:30 PM.
