His parents precede him in death. He was a very skillful, humorous, creative, caring, resourceful, and talented person. In his youth, he was an exceptional athlete and loved and enjoyed playing baseball. He was hard working as an adult and enjoyed being retired in his later years.....At the age of 21, he met his wife Socorro. They profoundly loved and cared for each other and were married for 55 years. They had 6 children, of which two preceded them in death. He was a very organized individual who liked things in order and done precisely. He had a great love for animals, reading and learning new things and although he seemed complicated to those who didn't know him well, he was quite a simple man and enjoyed spending time at home reading, watching TV, listening to music, or spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He enjoyed watching sports and would occasionally get loud and excited with his kids during a sporting event. Whenever anyone was in need of a helping hand, he was always at the ready to help in any way he could. He was also quite the character, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was always saying a joke and making people laugh in any opportunity that was given to him. He always made sure to share the life lessons that he had learned and pass those lessons onto his children and grandkids. He instilled in his kids and grandkids the value of hard work and an education. He loved to eat mexican sweet bread and coffee regularly. If ever he asked for something, it was for chile to make salsa, bread, coffee, or soda. He was a man of great faith and prayed for those he loved dearly, in every moment. He taught his children and grandchildren that life is a journey and to be grateful for what was given, whether it was bountiful or scarce (to give thanks in all moments) and to be mindful of the journey ahead. He shared many peaks and valleys with his wife and family and managed to remain hopeful through it all. He will be greatly missed and things will be a little quieter now that he's at rest but, not for long because for those of us who knew him well, we know that he will always be around making sure all is well.
