Late on Friday, May 14th, Ruben R. Valles, 68, was called by our Lord to join his mother who passed a week before him. He fought the fight, but our Lord saw his suffering and called him home. Ruben is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Villalobos; sons, Ruben, Jr., Ruben Paul, and Erika Rose Valles. He had six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, uncles, aunt, niece, several cousins and loving in-laws.
Ruben was a native El Pasoan. Over the last 20+ years, he greatly enjoyed tending to all his wonderful clients in his shop, The Ol’ Clip Joint. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and was so grateful for the many gifts his clients, friends, & family gave him throughout the years. His passions were: Every summer, attending church bazaars throughout the city; going to the movies on Friday evenings, and of course, keeping up with the Packers during football season. Ruben was a deeply devoted son to his mother and now they are basking in our Lord’s glory, participating in the greatest bazaar imaginable. A faithful servant of the Lord; he had a generous heart and kind nature. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will remain in our hearts forever.
