He was born Sep. 3. 1950, in Juarez, Mexico to Fernanda and Rosalio Galaviz.
Chalio was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a hard worker, working as a paperboy, bellhop, mason, and for most of his life a mechanic.
Chalio was an avid fisherman earlier in life. He coached Little League, played softball for many years, was an active member of the VFW, and Marine Corps League.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Galaviz is survived by his loving wife, Herminia, 6 children: Veronica Galaviz Aldana, Angelica Galaviz Wetsel, Alberto Galaviz, Mario Partida, Ricardo Partida, and Araceli Rodriguez. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His brothers Rito, Jose, Victor, and sister Leticia Valles, half brothers Manuel and Adolfo Galaviz. He is survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.
