Rosa (Lucy) Pavia

PAVIA, ROSA (Lucy) entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in La Union, New Mexico on January 7, 1944 to John Pavia and Esperanza E. Jones. She graduated from Gadsden High School in Anthony, New Mexico. After graduation she worked for Farah Manufacturing and then at the El Paso State Center from where she retired. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jose and Felipa Enriquez, her father John Pavia and brother-in-law, Thomas Bennett. Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Esperanza Jones, Sisters Gloria Alejandre (Primo) Irma Bennett, Toni Sanchez (Jessie) nephew Thomas Sanchez and numerous cousins and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Juan Herrada, Dr. Galo Rodarte and Dr. Jonathan Trent at M D Anderson. Donations may be made in her memory to the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation, 10460 Vista Del Sol, EL Paso, TX 79925. Visitation will be held 4pm to 9pm Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Martin Funeral Home Central with a 7pm vigil. Funeral Mass will be 9:30 am Friday August 5, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
