To the Resendez family Mr Resendez was my principal back in the early 70s we were aquatinted with me and my two brothers in a good way often spoke in the hallways till we moved to socorro tx come to find out we were neighbors we lived in spur and they lived in the sparks circle he often talked to my parents. He was a big influence to the point that i joined the AF and towards the last 10 yrs i became an instructor in an AF adult course. Just found out he passed away. My parents passed away my father at 85 my mother at 80 about 4 yrs ago.

Mr Resendez was an amazing inspiration to me in these past two years.  Every morning at 5am, Mr. Resendez would stop me in the locker room before hitting the gym at the Fred Loya YMCA and ask me, "Hey Dave! Are you ready to rumble?"  He never failed at doing so.  His enthusiasm, energy, and positive attitude toward everything has motivated to become better at what I do and work hard for I want in this life.  His is being dearly missed by all the 5am morning gym-goers at the Fred Loya YMCA.

Mr. Resendez, thank you for everything.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy, respect and appreciation to the Resendez family. Mr. Resendez was my principle growing up in Ysleta in the 60's. I remember him fondly, a fair and righteous man and role model for myself and my community. As I look back on the people who have influenced my life and my career as a teacher he was definitely one of them. Thank you Mr. Resendez, job well done !!

 Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.  What great times we had...first at Ysleta Elementary and then at Central Office. Rudy was my mentor throughout my time with YISD. His support and encouragement meant so very much to me. As a colleague and friend, he was a true inspiration, always focussing on what was best for the students and their teachers. I will always remember his wonderful smile and his positive outlook.  May he rest in God's peace

To my Godfather/Uncle.  Never had to chance to meet you.  But through a lifetime I was able to know you through students and teachers that spoke of the loving person you were.  I am glad to have heard wonderful things. I send your family prayers and that you will always have and will be remember.

My deepest condolences and sympathy to you and your family in your great loss of Rudy and my dearest friend.  I consider Rudy more like my brother than a friend.  Rudy, my brother Sonny and I were very close.  I taught all the boys in the neighborhood how to dance but Rudy wasn't interested.  One night, Sonny brought him to our house and Rudy was hiding behind the door.  Sonny said, "Rudy wants you to teach him how to dance."  That was the night before the Ysleta High School Home Coming Dance.  He learned fast. I have so many fun memories of the three of  us growing up.  (did I say growing?) No, we just got older with the teenage years in our minds.  We were a couple of teasers and I will continue to be until I take my last  breath on this planet. I enjoyed talking with Rudy at Sonny's Memorial Services about our "good old days".  Rudy, Sonny and I also enjoyed teasing Jay J. Arms; he was another one of "our gang" but I don't think he had as much fun as we did.  Hee! Hee!

God Bless you and your Family and may your grief and sorrow lessons as times passes on with the fun memories of the beautiful life Rudy, you and your family enjoyed.
