She was a lifelong resident of El Paso Texas. Mom obtained her nursing license in 1992 and began her nursing career at Thomason hospital, El Paso Health Department, and moved onto home health care, so she could have a career ideal for raising a family. She worked at Outreach, APC, and for the last 10 years Girling community Care. Where she was an exceptional branch director and was admired by colleagues and peers alike. Mom met dad at Ysleta high school her junior year, in Mrs. Hanson’s math class, where their Love story began. Mom noticed dad and sent him a candy gram and the seed of their love for each other was planted. Mom lived and did everything in her life with love towards everyone, especially her three beloved children and husband. Mom was our biggest supporter, the rock to our family, it didn’t matter what we did, mom would always have our back and believed in our own abilities to succeed. She would go above and beyond to protect us from anyone, she never backed down from any situation. Mom loved planning for the next family vacation, to go see the Dallas Cowboys on thanksgiving, a week’s getaway to Catalina Island, Disneyland, universal studios, and every other amusement park you can think of in southern California and San Antonio. Mom enjoyed a nice beach day where she could lay out and relax, while listening to the ocean waves. Mom loved her family more than anything in this world and cherished spending time at home with all of us. Mom loved football season, going to dad’s high school games, watching college football and of course her beloved Dallas Cowboys. Mom was a huge homebody, some of her favorite TV shows were; Yellowstone, Ozark, ER, Greys Anatomy, Better Call Saul, and with every great series she would have her go to Mexican snacks. Like pulparindos, pan dulces, pumpkinseeds, Tamarindo candys and a nice Mexican coke. After mom watched every movie and show on Netflix, mom could always fall back on her favorites, mean girls, House Bunny, Strangers, and during the month of October, as a family ritual all the Halloween Michael Myers movies that would come out on AMC. Mom loved her parents Juan and Teresa Guerrero, and always wanted to be with them, mom made it a priority to always visit and spend time with them at the house mom grew up in. Mom lived her life in the NOW, living in the moment and always laughing. What mom taught us and what we learned from her, was how to love, to stand up for yourself, persevere when life presented obstacles, to always believe in ourselves, never give up and continue going forward. Mama always made myself, and my sisters feel safe with absolutely everything. Her simple reassurance could take away any worry in the world. She was our go to person with the best advice in the world, and we will carry this in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Our mom taught us how to be independent, and to take care of ourselves. That education was the key to success. Our house growing up was “THE” house to be at, because of our mom’s open arms of love to give to all of our friends and cousins. Mom leaves behind a loving husband: Jesus M. Medina Jr, son: Matthew M. Medina, Daughters: Celina and Samantha Medina, parents: Juan Antonio Guerrero Sr and Teresa Guerrero, brother: Juan Antonio Guerrero Jr, In-laws: Jesus M. Medina Sr, Veronica Medina, Jaime Medina, Marco and Hannah Medina, Lucy Guerrero, and loving nephews and nieces. Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with the most incredible mom, mom you were the absolute best, thank for your unconditional love, support and amazing memories. We will all keep our faith and trust in the Lord with all our hearts, that we will all be together again in the Kingdom of Heaven. Until that time, love always and forever, your beloved family.
